NEW PRIMARY LESSONS

introducing
first on Sabbath the Bible story. The
teacher is to inspire the children to read it through during the week and to do
the daily activities in the lesson book;
§
giving a time in the
Sabbath School programme for children to share what they found out during the
week about the previous Sabbath’s Bible story;
§
for the World church -
there is material to last for 1˝ hours.
We have a shorter time period for Sabbath School the teacher will have
to adjust the material accordingly;
§
providing the teacher with
a lesson book which includes programme
outline, the Bible story told in an interactive way, and the Children’s story
as given in their lesson book;
§
beginning year B of the
four-year cycle so that the Sabbath School that only separate for the lesson
can base the programme on the same concept;
§
presenting each month a
different concept that will be repeated throughout the cycle: grace – Jesus
loves me; worship – I love Jesus; community – We love each other; and service –
Jesus love you too;
§
for 6-9s, a year younger
than previously. Adjust your classes
according to your children’s needs;
§
a different story to
Kindergarten. In 2002, The Beginner
(0-2) and Kindergarten (3-5) will be the same Bible story but age adjusted;
§
using Bible stories to
teach principles of life that are timeless;
§
giving active learning
experience to make the truth relevant to the 21st century child;
§
teaching each child in the
way they learn best;
§
full of ideas that need
materials. Ask for volunteers to buy
them in at the start of the quarter so you do not have to do last minutes
shopping and preparation.
