Language and People Groups in the BUC

Seventh-day Adventists in the United Kingdom and Ireland come from many different language and people groups. Some of these meet together for worship and fellowship. If you would like to make contact with your particular language or people group please read the information next to the flag of your country:

	Australia: The best place to meet Adventist Australians in London is at the Central London Church.
	Bangladesh: Bangladeshi Adventists attend meetings run by the lay-organised "Southern Asia Fellowship UK". This is based in Manchester but stages events around the country. 	Bosnia and Herzegovina. A group with members from various Balkan countries meets fortnightly on Saturday afternoons at Newbold College. Contact: Pastor Vlado Godina.
	Brazil: The London Portuguese group meets at the Advent Centre in London. Contact: Pastor E Duarte. Telephone: 01923 674 872.

	Croatia. A group with members from various Balkan countries meets fortnightly on Saturday afternoons at Newbold College. Contact: Pastor Vlado Godina.
	Finland: There is a Finnish speaking Sabbath School at Newbold College. See: Newbold Churches and Groups.
	Ghana: There are currently four Ghanain churches in the South England Conference, three in London and one in Slough. Contact: Pastor E Sackey or Pastor George Dadey.
	Hungary: Erzsebet Talmacsi would like to hear from any Hungarian Adventists in the UK with a view to setting up a network of contacts. Telephone: 07860 190634.
	India: There are many Indian Adventists in the UK. As yet there are few churches where Indians form the majority of the congregation but there are occasional days of fellowship and special gatherings. 	Korea - South: Newbold College has a large group of Koreans who meet together for a number of activities, including Sabbath School and Friday night programmes. Contact: Annet den Ouden.

	Macedonia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of: A group with members from various Balkan countries meets fortnightly on Saturday afternoons at Newbold College. Contact: Pastor Vlado Godina.
	Malawi: Chimwemwe and Victoria Nuka are based in Bradford and are happy to respond to anyone wanting information about Malawian Adventists in the United Kingdom. Telephone: 01274 780280.
	Montenegro. A group with members from various Balkan countries meets fortnightly on Saturday afternoons at Newbold College. Contact: Pastor Vlado Godina.
	Nigeria: The Blessed Hope Nigerian Seventh-day Adventist Church currently meets every week at the Central Park School, Central Park Road (off Barking Road), East Ham, London. Average weekly attendance is around 40. Contact: Pastor O Chackochen.
	Pakistan: Pakistani Adventists attend meetings run by the lay-organised "Southern Asia Fellowship UK". This is based in Manchester but stages events around the country. 	Philippines: There are Filipinos in many Adventist churches throughout the UK and Ireland. Many of get together every month for fellowship. The London Filipino church meets every week. Contact: Pastor Todd Frias.
	Portugal: Approximately 150 attend the London Portuguese Adventist Church every week at: The Advent Centre, 12 Crawford Place, off Edgeware Road, Westminster, London, W1H 5HD. Contact: Pastor E Duarte.

	Russian Federation: The Russian Seventh-day Adventist group meets regularly in Furzedown, London. Contact: Pastor Mikhael Lutso. There is also an official society for Russian-speakers at Newbold College. This society is for everyone who speaks Russian including: Latvians, Lithuanians, Estonians, Ukrainians, Moldovians, and Byelorussians. 	Sierra Leone: A number of Adventists from Sierra Leone keep in touch via the Sierra Leonean Adventists Abroad web-site. Sierra Leonean Adventists Abroad is a registered UK charity (number 1085936).
